Attend an Approved Beauty School in Connecticut
The first step is to apply to a beauty school that’s approved by the Connecticut State Board of Cosmetology. It’s a board of professionals that regulates the practices in beauty schools and businesses.

Complete 1500 Training Hours

Once you get your license, you’ll need to renew it every two years by the last day of your birth month and pay a $100 license renewal fee. You also have to complete 10 hours of continuing education.
