Legal Secratary Job Description


Job Summary:

A Legal Secretary performs daily clerical functions that are needed in an efficient legal office operation. Some of these duties include filing, typing, dictation and administering the in-coming phone calls. This position is also responsible for retrieving pertinent information and then distribution in the office environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

-Prepare correspondence and type documents for legal proceedings.

-Maintain a complex docket system designed to track various legal filing deadlines.

-Schedule depositions, site inspections and closing meetings.

-Draft any correspondence that is needed to carry out regular business activities.
