3. Invest in Team Building 

A good leader makes their employees feel important and valued at their company. A great way to show your subordinates that you care is to invest time and money into them by hosting team building activities and training.

For example, if you work in marketing, invite a guest speaker into your office to educate your employees on a new industry trend. This helps show your employees you care while benefiting you. Your employees will learn new skills to better themselves and the company. 

4. Admit When You’re Wrong 

We’re all human, so no one is going to have the right answers all of the time. A good leader can admit when they’re wrong or when they don’t know something. No one wants to work under a manager with a big ego, so admitting when you’re wrong will help build the trust and respect of your employees.

Everyone needs a mentor in their life, even if you’re the CEO of the company. Find a mentor who has a leadership style that you admire. Ask them about their style and how they’ve grown into the leader that they are. The odds are good that if you respect them as a leader, your team will admire the same traits in you. 

A mentor is a crucial person to fall back on when you need leadership advice. Like we mentioned earlier, a leader isn’t always going to have all of the answers. Sometimes you’ll need mentorship from someone who has been in your shoes before.
