How to Get a Rapid COVID Test for Emergency Travel

COVID 19 has become the new normal in 2020 and may continue into 2021. From lockdowns, to masks, to zoom meetings and remote learning, almost everything we do these days has been influenced by COVID.

As the virus has spread worldwide some countries have been hit harder than others, and the US is among the most affected. Traveling out of the country may be one of your best options.

Keep in mind that there are many restrictions about this. You are not allowed to travel if you test positive for COVID. That way, you don’t risk infecting people in other countries or on the plane.

Though we can’t cure COVID yet, and we can’t tell you anything more about how to avoid it, we can help you get a rapid COVID test for travel.

Walgreens

These are trying times for most of us. The good news is that many businesses have recognized that and stepped up to help in their own small ways.

Many require you to wear a mask indoors. Others have a time specifically set aside so those at higher risk can shop without fear.

Walgreens is offering drive-through COVID testing. They even offer a 24-hour return for those traveling to Hawaii. For everyone else, it’ll take 3 days to get results.

In many cases, they won’t even charge you, though you likely will need to fill out a questionnaire. The main requirement you’ll need to qualify for a free test is to be in an area where COVID is actively spreading. Unfortunately, that won’t be an issue for most of us.

Walgreens is one of many stores that offers these tests for free. There’s also CVS and RiteAid. Use whichever one is closest to you.

Mail-in Tests

Another way to get results within three days is to take a mail-in test. There are many different companies, including Everlywell, Vaulthealth, and Carbon Health among others.

Everlywell is the most affordable, coming in at roughly $109. You should get results back within two days, making it a great choice for those who need a rapid COVID test for travel. Unfortunately, not every state will accept it as a valid test. New York, New Jersey, and Rhode Island don’t recognize it.

If you’d like to get your test quickly and at a reasonable price, you can always check out our clinic. We promise to get you seen and tested within an hour, and we accept most types of health insurance.

Where to Get a Rapid COVID Test for Travel

Many of us are in need of a rapid COVID test for travel. Getting out of the country seems like a good idea right now, but we need to test negative before we can leave.
