Hustling For Extra Cash – 6 Fun Ways To Bring In Extra Money

It seems like everyone has a side hustle these days. It’s not just limited to young people or those with low salaries either. 43% of people with an annual income over $80,000 and 47% of those with postgraduate degrees have a side hustle!

If you want to bring in some extra money to pay bills, save up for a trip, or just build up your savings, there’s plenty of options out there! Here are 6 ideas to get you started (legally) hustling for cash!

1. Delivering Food

No, we’re not talking about old school pizza delivery. New services like DoorDash, UberEats, Grubhub, and Postmates open up opportunities to get delivery from pretty much everywhere. As a driver for them, you get to pick and choose which deliveries you want to take, where you want to drive, and when you want to work.

Sounds great, right? You can earn around $11-12 an hour doing this, so if you pick up a few shifts a week, you can supplement your income by a few hundred dollars a month. Not bad for driving around!

2. Start a Blog

While this isn’t the quickest way to make extra cash, it can be quite lucrative if you stick with it! By posting regular and engaging content, building your readership, and engaging with other bloggers, you can make hundreds (and even thousands!) of dollars a month with a blog!

Sponsored posts, affiliate links, and taking on sponsors on your own blog can have huge payouts if you have a large audience.

3. Rent Out Your House

Have an extra room in your house that’s not being used? Maybe you have a garage apartment, loft, or in-law suite that’s just sitting empty. Why not list it on Airbnb? This doesn’t require a ton of work on your end other than getting the space ready, taking some pictures, and posting online (and then cleaning after your guest leave, of course).

If you live in an area that’s highly popular or is hosting a large event, you can make a ton of money doing this. Just make sure to screen your guests and get any special permissions or permits you may need from your HOA or local government.

4. Online Gambling

Why not have a little fun while making some extra cash? An online live dealer casino might require you to spend a little to make a little, but it’s also a way to enjoy your side hustle!

5. Freelance

Think about the skills or hobbies that you have. Photography, art, organizing, writing, crafting…whatever it is that you do, and do well, think about monetizing that. Different freelance sites will take a small cut of your earnings to allow you to advertise your services.

6. Complete Tasks and Odd Jobs

Just like freelancing, you can use your skills to complete odd jobs and tasks for others. They might not necessitate any actual skills, but simply might be something that another person doesn’t have time to do, like picking up dry cleaning, helping move furniture, or posting on social media.

Sites like Task Rabbit will let you find these tasks and advertise your services.

Hustling Like Nobody’s Business

Hustling for extra cash is that way of the world anymore and it’s always good to have more than one income source, as you never know what can happen. Use these ideas to get yourself started and start enjoying that extra money. After all, you want to work hard to play hard!
