Drawing up an employee shift schedule is a bit of a minefield. It needs to be concise and organized, but at the same time keep your staff happy.
You want to allow a level of flexibility for your team but at the same time be assertive and not allow staff members to try altering things too frequently. On top of this, there will likely be people calling in sick now and then, as well as the need for last minute changes.
